Other Projects.
Here is a collection of a few other types of projects I have worked on over the years:
trends analysis for Kawasaki, digital and product design of the Year of Zayed Planner, a hand-made bamboo box created in a carpentry workshop, a custom-made interior design of a master bathroom, and a few other furniture ranges I designed.
Trends Analysis
Client
Kawasaki
Goal
Analyze current European trends to be applied on certain Kawasaki motorcycle models (Z800 and Z1000) to launch a new look and feel for designs targeting the European market.
Solution
After analyzing three trends (bio-mimicry, neo-retro, and tech-no) we chose to focus on the bio-mimicry direction. In this trend, I particularly focused on deriving inspiration from nature’s strikingly colorful reptiles and insects.
Zayed Planner
Client
Aloud Lootah Design Studio
Goal
In honor of the Year of Zayed, the ALDS team designed our very own Zayed Planner in two versions: an Arabic version and an English version. Every beginning of the month we featured hand-drawn portraits of HH. Sheikh Zayed as well as key poetry verses and quotes by HH. Sheikh Zayed.
Contribution
I was in charge of the internal layout and design of the planners, as well as the packaging of the Zayed Planner. The team and I selected various camel leather colors for the planner to be enveloped in. As a team we also oversaw production and conducted quality control before shipping off to clients.
Bamboo Box
Project
Carpentry Workshop
Development
I created a bamboo box in a carpentry workshop using various woodwork machinery. The box was designed to make use of the natural features of a bamboo pole.
After carefully selecting differing diameters of the bamboo culm, I used the node as a natural stopper for the box. The hallow cavity inside creates the perfect space to hold small objects

Client
AK Private Client
Project
The client was looking for a set of very curated needs: a his & hers sink, a bathtub, a his & hers shower, and a wow element running throughout the space. Once we had agreed on the design and layout, we selected the materials for the master bath as well as 3 other bathrooms in the house. Key elements were:
the arch was a key design element throughout the space
integration of curved elements to compliment the arches
indirect lighting around the main arches and curves to accentuate elements
curved Italian designed bathtub on a curved platform
arched niche shelving unit with indirect lighting in shower space
Tween Bedroom
Client
Homecentre
Goal
I designed a premium tween girl bedroom with 7 SKUs: bed, nightstand, chest of drawers, vanity dresser, desk, wardrobe and armoire. The inspiration was drawn from delicate French cottage furniture, designed to create hand-carved feel.
*As a token of appreciation, the Homecentre kid’s team named this range after me, the Beatrice Range, once I resigned from Homecentre Landmark Group.
